wow 1800 is very ex... i don't think it's an amount worth spending on rental, looking at the number of people (we will need at least 1800/20 = 90 pax to pay $20 just to rent the place, not including food n stuff) and also the budget we gonna have (unless sponsors sponsor the palce haha)

Maybe we can get a place like a cafe like the one at Esplanade? Then perhaps we can order the food from them and get the use of the cafe "totally free" with all it's sound system n stuff?

Think it's done before in one of gathering right? But we need to make sure that the cafe do not lose out, so probably still charge a ticket for $20, and pay the cafe owner for the food...otherwise some people might just turn up and order iced water haha..

hmm for rental of room.. u may consider to use my scout room Grinz

which cost only $50.

price can be lowered to $40 the lowest

cos the scout master is ME xD

Where exactly is the scout room? Bishan?

How large is the room and what facilities does it come with?

Worse case scenario, we rent McDonalds' birthday room Grinz

Would be good if we can Get around 70 pax to join the event .

Ticket price should be around $20 .

I guess many students , might want to join too .

Yup , prefer an enclose place .

Considering about the people and instruments might be coming for the event .

If we would have a Talent show activities , enclose space would be much better . (Privacy)

Can be Beauty Pageant or Musical Performance .

Or both >>>

is at hougang and it can hold ard 30 ppls..and i noe u gg to say only 30 ppls

I enjoyed the last G4C gathering at Singapore Art Cafe. I was putting this venue as a last resort for a few reasons. First, there is a limited seating capacity to approx 30-35 at the cafe. Second, we have to vacate by 9:30pm due to library rules. Third, there are also library restrictions on party noise, playing games and dancing. More ideal for a smaller gathering. So exploring other alternatives first.

Basically, a venue which is easily accessible and relatively central to all. There are cheaper venues which fits that criteria but don't have the ambience befitting of that party we want to hold.

Seems like we are looking at about 60-90 pax. That sort of standing room and the budget should be between $600-$900.

We'll just keep looking.
