I believe all christian should know a little about church history.
Let me tell the little I know...
The gospel was preach to Rome and the government embrace it well. Therefor making it national religion. The church became very powerful, the high priest has lots of authority and rich too. Because of this, some people that doesn't really believe in God wanted to become priest, reason being priest are rich and powerful. So this started the "dark ages". This group of 'priest' came up with strange things, for eg... making the bible so holy that nobody can read unless you are a priest, this completely blind the people form the truth of God, cause whatever you hear is from this so call 'priest' who a lot of time is more interested in money and power. They make people buy somethings so that their sin can be forgiven, sort of like the OT where people buy lamb, ram to offer sacrifices for their sin. And also a lot of weird things.
During the midst of the dark ages came Martin Luther. He love God and wanted to be a priest, so he can know God more and serve Him. He started to read the bible and found out. "The just shall live by Faith", not works or need to buy anything for sins to be forgiven. It's solely by the grace of God through repentance. So he wrote 95 theses on that main subject and nail it on the door of a cathedral. This started the protestant movement which later was just call chrisitian while the old is called Roman catholic. Protestant because we protest against the wrong teaching of the roman catholic.
Of course later started all the different denomination which all of them was birth through great revival.

YEah... that's church history.. but wuiping.. i thot there is moRe to iT? abt how martin luther tried to get hiS sins forgiven? and how he walked up this light house barefooted, where all teh steps were laid with glass pieces.. haha... i tink there is much more to it... but don't really noe the details..

Hmmm... Hey i'm lagging... But hey I was thinking... Will there be a day whereby these gay leaders would be convicted that being a gay is wrong and then lead the whole congregation back to the truth that would set them free? Let's pray for them instead of talking about them being right or wrong lah. It's not up to us to judge them anyway.
